Dr. Scott Basinger, DPM

Having spent many hours on a tennis court, Dr. Basinger has firsthand experience with some of the ailments of the feet and ankles. He understands how injuries can hamper, and even sideline, the "weekend warrior" as well as the competitive athlete. His desire to keep people healthy and on their feet inspired him to choose podiatry.

Dr. Basinger takes care of patients with sports-related injuries, heel pain, ingrown toenails, bunions, hammertoes, warts, ankle sprains, arthritis, and diabetes.A native of California, Dr. Basinger earned his D.P.M. in podiatric medicine at the California College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed three years of residency at the V.A. Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with additional training at Kaiser in Sacramento, California. He is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons.

Dr. Basinger enjoys tennis, soccer, basketball, running, yardwork and various activities with his wife and three children.

Dr. Alyssa L. Carroll, DPM

As a previous competetive swimmer in the south Charlotte area, Dr. Carroll spent many hours being active and cross training which would often include running and plyometric activities. Not a stranger to sprained ankle and sore feet, she quickly came to appreciate the importance of healthy, functioning feet and ankles. That is what ultimately inspired her to persue a career in podiatric medicine and surgery.

Together with her personal experience and extensive training, Dr. Carroll's goal is to treat each patient as if they were family. Dr. Carroll treats many ailments of the foot and ankle including, but not limited to, heel pain, sprains, tendonitis, bunions, hammertoes, ingrown toe nails, plantar warts, arthritis and diabetic feet. She received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. She then completed a comprehensive three year surgical residency at Christina Care Health System in Wilmington, DE. She is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Carroll enjoys swimming, cycling, hiking, trips to the beach, and exploring the queen city with her husband and rescue dog.
